And here are a couple photos of Elena and her one-and-a-half year birthday cookie. She blew out her candles beautifully (three times - we are such suckers when she says, "Again, please").
She opened one gift (alphabet magnets) and had a good time playing with them for a few minutes before bedtime. Dan offered to take the pictures, so I am actually in a couple. :)
(My feet look super dirty, but it is my black flip flops. Honest. They kind of dye my feet when I wear them.)

I have loved reading your blog. Elena is such a cutie!! I think she looks so much like Dan (Sorry Emma - I see some of you too - but when I first look I see Dan). HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! I hear you on the black flip flop thing! - You are too funny! The worst is when your feet then dye the bottom of your shower black - that stuff is so hard to get off. Elena is adorable as usual and you are so beautiful. I love that you celebrate one and 1/2, and that you even cut one of the candles short!
Elena is getting so big! Congrats on the "new" car too! Hope all is well in North Carolina - we miss y'all! :)
HA. You can copy and paste it if you want...ha ha ha. I should have just given you those shorts, they looked better on you and I hardly wear them. Glad we got to spend some time together at camp...you're a good friend! :)
We really liked the video - I think she looks like Emma personally. (Excellent camera frame control by the way)
