Elena's Native American Museum and Thanksgiving

Elena's class worked hard for a month to prepare for their Native American Museum and feast.  First they had a dig to find the artifacts, then they labeled and researched them.  While we were in Florida, they created large scenes to show exactly how Native Americans in different parts of the country lived.  They made costumes, prepared a menu, and studied to be able to be docents at the museum and guide their family around.

They also practiced a few songs that were really a lot of fun to see.
 What a cutie!

 Jonah enjoyed his feast.
Granny and Grandad were so bummed to miss out.  They were actually in a car accident on their way to Elena's school.  They were both okay - just a pretty sore and Grandad broke his nose.  We all spent Thanksgiving together the next day.  I don't have any pictures from the main meal because Bethany and I were hard at work making the food while they rested.  In the evening, the Wallaces came over for dessert and it was really lovely.
